Facts Confirm Human Lifespan Limited To 120 Years

While there have at times been unconfirmed reports of people living longer, the facts confirm that human lifespan is limited to no more than about 120 years. About 50 years ago, for example, there was a man living in Florida, USA, named Charlie Smith, who claimed to be 130 years old. However, before the flood of Noah’s day, about 4400-5500 years ago, God announced his decision to eventually limit human lifespan to 120 years.

The Roman Saturnalia, an ancient festival celebrated on December 17-24 that consisted of wild merrymaking and people enjoying themselves to the fullest. The day after this festival was adopted by the church as Christmas in an attempt to counteract the effects.

Is Christmas a Biblical, or Christian, celebration? The Bible does not tell us the date of Jesus’ birth, nor does history tell us anything about exactly when Jesus was born, but it does give us some clues. We read:

They see the system as an attempt to eliminate “Christ” from the calendar, just as many reject the expression “x-mas” for removing “Christ” from Christmas. Some simply appeal to arguments of tradition and familiarity with the system. For these reasons, they insist on using the BC/AD dating system.

The Christian Post published an article on December 8, 2024 about the First Vatican Council, which began December 8, 1869. This Roman Catholic Church Council decided that the pope, the leader of the Church cannot make a mistake about certain matters of faith, and that Jesus’ mother, Mary, never sinned. How does the Bible picture the modern church?“Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22 NIV). The messages to the seven churches of Revelation all conclude with the above statement. This indicates that the message is for “everyone” who will “listen to” the word of God, the Bible (ISV). But how is the modern church pictured in the Bible?

Confusing Situation of the Modern Church

 Why is Christianity so confusing? Why are there so many diverse groups in Christianity today? Is there only one true Christian religion, group, or denomination, that has God’s special favor, and who are in a “spiritual paradise,” the modern day, one and only, “ark of salvation,” whereas others who are not part of this group are outside of God’s favor, and thus in spiritual darkness? If so, does this one special group contain all the true Christians within it? Or, are individual genuine Christians scattered throughout many diverse groups? Since beliefs and practices among various Christian groups vary widely, and this has caused much “confusion” (Galatians 1:7 NIV), these are questions that need Biblical answers. read more
